The Walbrzych Special Economic Zone

The Walbrzych Special Economic Zone „INVEST- PARK” has 8 subzones: Walbrzych (219 ha), Dzierzoniow (52 ha), Nowa Ruda (42 ha), Klodzko (17 ha), Zarow (86 ha), Jelcz-Laskowice (57 ha), Nysa (8 ha) oraz Kudowa-Zdroj (8 ha), which together cover the area of 492 ha.

Tax exemptions and other incentives available to investors are among the main advantages of the zone. By investing within the WSEZ, it is possible to obtain public aid in an amount up to 50% of investment expenditures, or up to 50% of two years’ labor costs of newly employed employees. All subzones have modern technical infrastructure, which is constantly being developed.

The subzones have convenient location in relation to the capital of Lower Silesia - Wroclaw. They are located in the neighborhood of the Czech Republic border and within a close distance from the German border. These are additional advantages, which allow us to expect investments located within the zone to develop effectively.

The attractiveness of the zone is enhanced by a well-developed communication system - the existing network of roads and railways as well as the modernized A4 motorway. Within the region, there is an International Passenger and Cargo Airport in Wroclaw, which allows fast air connections.

The total value of capital invested by entrepreneurs in the WSEZ amounted to over PLN 1,264 million as of the end of September 2003, and the companies operating in the Zone employed the total of 6,884 people.
